Excavation Complete and Volunteers Now Needed at Lopes Playground
Thanks to the continued support of Dave Menard, Glenn Barrows and the entire Municipal Maintenance crew excavation of Lopes Playground is now complete. Covanta SEMASS generously donated a second dumpster to complete the debris removal and a team from the Used Tire Warehouse removed all remaining tires. Now work can begin to spread 500 yards of engineered wood fiber to make the space safe for the children of Wareham and Onset. With such an enormous task ahead volunteers are desperately needed at Lopes Playground in Onset next Saturday, November 16 beginning at 9 AM. Please join Wareham CORE in the final push to finish the project; even an hour would make an enormous difference. We are also in need of pitchforks, rakes, and wheelbarrows to aid the volunteers. If you can spare your time or your tools on Saturday, November 16 your support would be greatly appreciated. The transformation is nearly complete and wouldn’t have been possible without the outpouring of support from the local community. For more information please visit www.facebook/warehamcore.
