Scoops for Hoops Raises $2,949 for Lopes Park Project

Sep 23, 2019

Wareham CORE is pleased to announce that their Scoops for Hoops day at Nana’s Ice Cream raised $2,949 to support the Lopes Park Project.  The community came out in force, on a beautiful day, in support of the project.  Participants also came from other parts of New England including two youth basketball coaches from New Hampshire and a large group of students representing the University of Connecticut.  Wareham CORE would like to thank all those who turned out, especially two very generous donors who graciously made contributions in the amounts of $2,000 and $250 respectively.  Wareham CORE would also like to thank Nana’s Ice Cream for providing the venue, ice cream, and supplies.  This day would not have been possible without them!  The Lopes Park Project will kick off this Saturday, September 28, with a volunteer work day at Lopes Playground.  Please join us!  Additional details will follow shortly.  For more information please visit
