The Paskamansett Bird Club will host a virtual presentation on creating your own Patagonia Picnic Table effect through local birding on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.

The presentation will be conducted by Matt Eckerson, a senior at UMass Amherst with a focus on Natural Resources and Conservation. 

Eckerson has also been birding since the age of 12.

As part of the presentation, Eckerson hopes to show that patch birding is not only more sustainable, but also how it can be used as training grounds for birding skills. 

He will also talk about how to choose the best location as a patch, why patch birding can produce more birds over time, and also some success stories.
