'Paw'-some! Dog park naming contest underway

With the completion and anticipated late-spring opening of a community-wide dog park at 443 Old Fall River Road, the town of Dartmouth is looking for some help in naming the park.

From now until Friday, Feb. 27, kids ages 10 and under are invited to share their creative ideas for the dog park. Names can be suggested online by visiting bit.ly/DartmouthDogPark.

The winning name will be chosen on April 1, with the grand opening celebration planned for late spring.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for our youngest residents to take part in something special for the entire community," said Dartmouth Parks and Recreation Director Rebecca Amaral.
