New law for motorboat operators

Massachusetts has passed a new law, beginning April 1, that motorboat operators must take a boating safety course. 

All residents born after January 1, 1989 must complete the course by April 1, 2026. All residents born on or before January 1, 1989 must complete the course by April 1, 2028. 

The course goes over boat operations, safety and more. There are options to obtain the certificate both in person and online.
