Re-live America’s early days at the Akin House June 11

Re-enactors will be at the event to talk about American history.
The Akin House was built 260 years ago, and tours will be available at the event on June 11.
Dartmouth Heritage Preservation Trust will host its annual Never Idle Hands — Living in Early America event where attendees can see 18th-century cooking demonstrations, woodworking using contemporary tools, and archeological finds.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at the Akin House, 762 Dartmouth St., and attendance is free.
Children’s games from the time period will be available to play, and guests can chat with Revolutionary-era re-enactors to learn about life in the early days of America.
Tours of the Akin House will be available during the event, and guests can learn about the Akin family’s contributions to the Revolutionary War effort.
