Two teens die in New Bedford crash, Dartmouth man injured
Two teenagers are dead and a third faces non life threatening injuries in a single vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 on Route 140 South in New Bedford.
An 18-year-old man from Dartmouth was driving and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 17-year-old boy from South Yarmouth died on the scene and a 15-year-old girl died in the hospital from her injuries after both being ejected from the vehicle.
The gray 2019 Honda Civic sustained significant damage to the passenger side of the car, and was found in the woods to the right side of the highway. State police received a 911 call alerting them to the crash which occurred near mile marker 2.1.
The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office and the Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the crash, which is unknown at this time.
