Vincent Medeiros, 69
Vincent Medeiros, 69, passed away at home in Dartmouth June 8, 2026.
Born in New Bedford, son of Manuel V. Medeiros and Dorothea (Santos) Medeiros. Vin graduated from Dartmouth High School before pursuing his education at Springfield Tech.
Vin leaves behind an extraordinary 51-year legacy in Respiratory Care at Southcoast Health. In 2007, Vin was honored with the prestigious President’s Award for Excellence, Southcoast Health’s highest internal honor. Vin transitioned away from leadership in 2019 to perform Pulmonary Function Testing at the Southcoast Physician Group Truesdale Pulmonary office.
Survived by his daughter, Jenna R. Medeiros and fiancé Jonathan DaCosta; his son, Aaron V. Medeiros and wife Jenna; grandchildren, Lilah, Olivia, Ethan, and Nolan; companion, Christine Roy; and their dog, Rhina; aunt, Loretta "Lottie" Batacao; uncle, Richard Perry; cousins Jane Cardoza and Beth Porto and families and former wife, Mari-Jo (Bettencourt) Medeiros.
