A 'Wicked' good time in town

The movie ‘Wicked’ has been the big thing in the media for a while, and now it’s coming to Dartmouth. The author of the book ‘Wicked” Gregory Maguire, which both the play and movie are based on, is visiting Dartmouth for a wicked good time on Saturday, March 28 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The South Coast LGBTQ Network is hosting ‘Down the Yellow Brick Road: An Evening with Gregory Maguire” at Rachel's Lakeside. 

The evening will include an author presentation, a silent auction, a cocktail reception and buffet and a costume contest. 

Bricks are available for purchase for $100, which will have a name permanently engraved on them to go outside the Network’s New Bedford location. 

Tickets are $100, or $150 with a brick, and can be purchased at https://www.sclgbtqnetwork.org/yellowbrickroad.html.  The proceeds will help fund the youth programs, social services, educational initiatives and advocacy efforts.
