CREATING TEXTURE WITH WATERCOLOR
Event Date:
Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries for a two-hour workshop that will explore techniques for creating different effects in watercolor painting with local artist and teacher Jane Bregoli. Participants can choose one of two days: Tuesday, June 17, at 1:00 p.m. or Wednesday, June 18, at 1:00 p.m. Painters of all skill levels are welcome and are expected to bring their own supplies: watercolor paints, paper, and brushes. Participants will receive an emailed confirmation with a complete list of supplies needed for the class. The workshop will be held at the Dartmouth North Branch Library.
Because space is limited, advance registration is required and can be made by calling the Library at (508) 999-0726.
Jane Bregoli is a well-known local artist whose mediums include oil and watercolor paint, etching, and clay. She led a popular watercolor class for the Friends last year. In addition, she is the author and illustrator of the multiple award-winning book, The Goat Lady, about the life of Noelie Houle, a long-time Dartmouth resident. The newly created ebook version of The Goat Lady is now available at the Dartmouth libraries. Ms. Bregoli also has a new book, The Goat Lady Whispers to the Bees, that is coming out in late summer. Ms. Bregoli received a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and a MFA in Painting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Ms. Bregoli’s class is free and open to the public and will be held at the Dartmouth North Branch Library, 211 Cross Road, Dartmouth, MA. For more information, please e-mail fodl.libraries@gmail.com.
