SEMAYO brings together young musicians from across the region to participate in an educational and artistic experience in a full orchestra setting. The fall concert features SEMAYO’s five ensembles: the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Senior Conductor Tobias Monte, Repertory Orchestra under the direction of Nicole Laprise-Turgeon, Debut Orchestra with Michael Daniels, Preparatory String Ensemble with Caroline Herrero, and Poco Strings under Charlene Monte.

Admission at the door is $10 for adults, $5 for students & seniors, and $25 for families.

The Southeastern Massachusetts Youth Orchestras (formerly the New Bedford Symphony Youth Orchestra) program was established in 2008 under the auspices of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra. The season runs from September to May, with four scheduled concerts, including a side-by-side performance with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra at their December Holiday Pops Family Concerts at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center.
