Wareham & Rochester Lions Clubs Make $100,000 Donation to Damien’s Family Food Pantry

Jul 24, 2023

A $100,000 grant was awarded to Damien’s Food Pantry from the Lions Clubs International Foundation Hunger Grant Program.  These grants are available to local Lions Club districts to help support infrastructure and equipment that focus on alleviating hunger.  The Wareham & Rochester Lions Club applied on Damien’s behalf to help support their “Building Today, Feeding Tomorrow” Capital Campaign to help build a larger, more efficient, dignified and greener food pantry for those in our community most at risk of hunger.

“We are eternally grateful to our local Lions Club for their leadership during the early stages of our capital campaign” said Pauline Lally, Executive Director at Damien’s.  “These funds helped to inspire others to give and show how important this campaign is to the community.”

So far Damien’s campaign for a new building has raised almost $1.53M of the $2.2M needed.  To find out more about this campaign and how to donate, please go to https://damiensfoodpantry.org/capital-campaign/.
