Interested in serving on the Dartmouth Finance Committee? Applications are now being accepted to fill a vacancy on the board.

The available seat would fill the remainder of committee member Louis Garabaldi’s term ending in June 2022.

The nine-member committee meets most Thursday evenings, especially before Town Meeting. Its role is to advise Town Meeting. Members review each Town Meeting warrant article and makes a recommendation. The Committee is also responsible for administering the Town’s reserve fund.

Those interested in serving on the committee should have a basic understanding of town government and financial statements, be analytical thinkers, and have a willingness to ask questions and share their views during meetings. Members will also be expected to attend Town Meetings and work with the public and various constituent groups.
