Applications open for Dartmouth Grange scholarships

Apr 5, 2020

The Dartmouth Grange is taking applications for scholarships from graduating seniors at Dartmouth High School and Westport High School through April 15.

Criteria will include academic merit and community service. Students interested in environmental science or agricultural studies may have an edge, but it is not essential to apply for a scholarship.

Applications are due on April 15 and are available online from each school and from the Dartmouth Grange website at dartmouthgrange.org.

Last year the Dartmouth Grange gave a total of $44,000 in scholarships to eleven students.

Awards went to the following students from Dartmouth High School: Taylor Alves, attending Johnson & Wales University; Phoebe Cousens, attending the University of Vermont; Owen Guilbeault, attending Salve Regina University; Shane Rose, attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst; Sadie Thomas, attending the University of Rhode Island; and Grace Woodcock, attending Roger Williams University.

Westport High School recipients included Samantha Arsenault, attending Bridgewater State University; Tobey DaSilva, attending the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth; Dawson DosVais, attending Lasell University; Lexey Jordan, attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst; and Alexus Veilleux, attending Saint Leo University.
