April vacation will be a hoot at Dartmouth libraries

Mar 26, 2023

School may be closed but learning through fun activities will be on the schedule as the Dartmouth libraries offer an array of programs aimed at children of varying ages throughout the April vacation week.

Literacy Through Laughter is a 45-minute interactive story time and circus show with professional entertainers Cherie and Dave. The program will emphasize how reading can be fun and inspirational and will be held on Tuesday, April 18, at the North Branch Library at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Southworth Library. No registration is required.

Children’s Librarian Christie Phillips will lead two workshops, That’s a Wrap:  Bubble Wrap Painting Craft, on Wednesday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the North Branch Library and 2 p.m. at Southworth Library. In this mixed media art activity, children will learn to use bubble wrap and paint to make pictures. Registration is required.

On Thursday, April 20, the Lloyd Center will bring Koko the owl to the Southworth Library for an introduction to one of the center’s most popular residents. Children will learn about Eastern screech owls and make a fun owl-themed craft. The program begins at 2 p.m. and requires registration.
