Dartmouth first responders to get vaccine from Jan. 11

Jan 4, 2021
Dartmouth’s first responders will be eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine starting Jan. 11 as the state enters the last part of Phase I of its vaccine distribution plan, Governor Charlie Baker announced on Jan. 4.

Police, firefighters, and ambulance workers — including medical techs and paramedics — who work in town will be able to receive their first shot on the UMass Dartmouth campus at 285 Old Westport Road from next week.

First responders must book an appointment and show at least one form of work identification, including a badge, work ID, or letter from an employer or paystub plus photo ID.

Vaccines will be administered at UMass Dartmouth’s Woodlands Commons Building. Signs will be placed on campus to direct first responders to the entrance.

More information, including eligibility requirements, accepted IDs, and a full list of locations is available at mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-vaccine-locations-for-first-responders.
