Dartmouth Police arrest T-Mobile employee accused of identity fraud

A T-Mobile employee wanted in connection with an identification fraud case was taken into custody on Dec. 10, according to a press release from the Dartmouth Police Department.

According to the statement, the department started to investigate after a victim alleged that a Dartmouth T-Mobile store employee had stolen their identity.

Investigators found that Nathaniel Duarte-Souto of New Bedford allegedly purchased items with a credit card he used with the victim’s identity.

The investigation also found that the the suspect had accessed the bank account of another store customer and transferred money to his own account.

On Dec. 10, Duarte-Souto was arrested was charged with identity fraud and larceny over $1,200.
