Dias Landing will be storage-ready by May

Jan 24, 2025

The approximately $1 million renovations at the Arthur F. Dias Town Landing will be ready in time for the start of the season on May 1, announced Harbormaster Steve Melo.

The popular pier will be ready for seasonal, on the dock storage of dinghies 10-feet and under and in-water boats under 20 feet. All Dartmouth residents interested in keeping their boat at the landing should apply by email.

Storage of up 10-foot dinghies is $600 for the entire season, which begins May 1 and ends Oct. 31. In-water boats under 20 feet are $100 per linear foot for the entire season. The length of the boat includes any outboard motor, bowsprit or anchor.

As an example, Melo explained a 13-foot skiff with an outboard engine would be billed at 15 feet.

Space is limited, so the harbormaster recommends applying now as spots are served on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority will be given to Dartmouth residents with the suitability of any vessel being at the sole discretion of the harbormaster.

Additional use rules will apply and will be detailed in the assignment letters. This fee does not include the daily or seasonal state-mandated Public Access Board parking/launching fee at Dias Landing.

Only email applications will be accepted. No applications or inquiries by phone, USPS mail, or in person will be considered. To apply for the waiting list please send an email of interest with the intended boat’s MA state registration information to the harbormaster at:  harbormaster@dartmouthharbormaster.com
