Westport-based non-profit Toka’s Friends will hold its annual golf fundraiser at Dartmouth’s Allendale Country Club, 1047 Allen St., on Monday, June 10. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Toka’s Friends, founded in 2017, provides certified service dogs to military veterans with PTSD and related challenges. These service dogs are provided at no cost to the veterans.
The fundraiser will feature an 18-hole tournament where participants can showcase their skills while aiding Toka’s Friends’ goal to help veterans.
“This event is not only a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a day on the greens but also a chance to make an impact on the lives of veterans,” said Toka’s Friends Founder and President Tom Howd.
This year’s event will include a free one-hour golf clinic for veterans sponsored and run by PGA REACH New England, the non-profit charity of the New England Professional Golfers’ Association.
Four professional golfers will work with 20 local veterans on their short game before the event begins.
