Jones and Apponagansett beach to open June 24
While Round Hill beach opened for the season on June 17, Jones and Apponagansett beach will open on Saturday, June 24 to the public.
Jones and Apponagansett are open to residents and non-residents. Round Hill is only open to residents. Anyone can purchase a day pass to Jones or Apponagansett for $10, or a season pass for $50.
Lifeguard’s are staffed at all three beaches from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but Round Hill Beach is the only location that closes its gate, and it does so at 8 p.m. No pets are allowed on any of the beaches.
Beach stickers for Round Hill beach can no longer be purchased in person, and instead residents will need to order one online at dartmouthma.viewpointcloud.com.
In addition to the beach openings, the Department of Parks and Recreation has also begun its summer concert series, featuring a different band every Wednesday night in Apponagansett park.
