Learn about the Memorial Stadium project at upcoming information session

Town officials are inviting the community to a public information session about the Memorial Stadium renovation project on October 3.

The meeting will be held on location at the stadium at 6 p.m. During the event, officials will give an overview of the project, answer questions from the public, and allow the public to see first-hand areas needing improvement at the stadium.

In the event of inclement weather, the meting will be held at the same time at Dartmouth Middle School.

The School Department is seeking approval at the October 16 Fall Town Meeting for $1.1 million to fund the first of a multi-phase project to improve the stadium. The total cost of the Phase 1, which would fund the installation of a turf field, lighting improvements, and related work, is $1.9 million, including contingency costs. In addition to the unspent $400,000 Town Meeting voters approved last year, it is likely additional funding will be sought from School Choice funds to fill the remaining cost.
