Learn history from a South Coast nonagenarian

South Coast storyteller and nonagenarian Carlton ‘Cukie’ Macomber will be back at the Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society to share his tales on October 6, 6:30 p.m. 

The lecture will include two special tales recorded by Macomber, an active and energetic nonagenarian who has written many essays recording stories relevant to local history on the South Coast.

The stories will be narrated by Historical and Arts Society President Bob Harding, and Macomber will share comments and make comments during the presentations. 

The two tales are titled "A Murder in Westport With a Problematic Court Trial, and  "The Coast Guard Reserve (Temp) on the South Coast." 

The lecture will be held at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse, 1205 Russells Mills Rd. Light refreshments will be served. The Society suggests are $5 donation to help support its programs.
