Lloyd Center awarded grant

Dec 4, 2018

The Lloyd Center for the Environment was given a grant of $9,400 from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The grant, to be used for cultural programming, was awarded through the Cultural Investment Portfolio Grant Program, which is very competitive. This support will allow the Center to continue its work in research and education, including providing science programs to public schools that would not otherwise be able to afford them.

Since 2006, the Lloyd Center has taught more than 100,000 students and hosted more than 25,000 visitors each year. It has also monitored threatened and endangered species for over thirty years. The 82 acre property, with five miles of hiking trails, is free and open to the public every day from dawn to dusk. For more information, go to www.lloydcenter.org.
