MetroWest Youth Basketball looks for another slam-dunk season
After losing the Division One state championship last year by only two points, the fifth grade boys in the MetroWest Youth Basketball League came out of this year’s March competition victorious against Waltham.
And by only two points.
“It was awesome,” said Head Coach Eric Medeiros. “The kids did a really good job.”
Medeiros highlighted how well the kids play together, and looks forward to another season of basketball after a summer of playing three-on-threes.
“[I’m] really proud of them for keeping it together and dealing with adversity,” Medeiros said.
He added, “It’s a good league — well done by the refs who organize it.”
Starting Wednesday, Sept. 18 and ending Monday, Sept. 30, Dartmouth’s MetroWest teams will be holding tryouts for boys and girls grades three through eight. Tryouts will take place at the Burgo Basketball Complex with more details to come.
The MetroWest League has over 1,100 teams across Massachusetts for both boys and girls.
