No tricks, all treats at Fire District No. 1 trunk-or-treat

Oct 27, 2018

District No. 1 firefighters rolled their fire engines out of the Bridge Street station in favor of decorated cars for the department's second annual Trunk-or-Treat event on October 27.

Dozens of kids braved the cold, wind, and rain to have fun trick or treating out of the trunks of cars, playing games, and having their faces painted.

Ally Amaral decorated her car with her mother, Becky, in an homage to “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” This was her first trunk-or-treat.

“My mom made the ghosts, but I painted the picture,” she said.

Firefighter Erick Turcotte took the opportunity to educate the trunk-or-treaters while they munched on candy.

“We try to incorporate our fire prevention into everything we do,” Turcotte said.

The Trunk-or-Treat event was also sponsored by Dartmouth Parks and Recreation.
