Nomination papers available for Dartmouth town election
Nomination papers are now available for Dartmouth's annual town election in April. Several offices, including Select Board and School Committee, will be on the ballot.
Nomination papers can be picked up from the Town Clerk's office until Friday, February 10, at 5 p.m. A total of 50 signatures of registered voters is required for those seeking town offices; 20 signatures are required for those looking to become a Town Meeting member. Nomination papers must be returned to the Clerk's office for certification of the signatures by Tuesday, February 14, at 5 p.m.
On the ballot
- Select Board: One, three-year term. The seat is currently held by Stanley M. Mickelson.
- Board of Assessors: One, three-year term. Currently held by Robert Michaud.
- School Committee: Two, three-year terms. Currently held by Carol Karafotis and Christopher J. Garth.
- Board of Library Trustees: Two, three-year terms. Currently held by Wendy Garf-Lipp and Suzanne E. McDonald.
- Board of Health: One, three-year term. Seat held by Thomas W. Hardman.
- Planning Board: One, five-year term. Seat held by Joel Avila.
- Board of Parks and Recreation: One, three-year seat, currently held by Sherri L. Tetrault.
- Dartmouth Housing Authority: Appointed by the Select Board in 2016 to fill a vacancy, George Alex will now need to be elected to complete the remaining four years of a five-year term.

The town election is Tuesday, April 4. The last day to register to vote is Wednesday, March 15.
