The Padanaram Bridge is now re-opened to traffic, after suffering a mechanical failure Thursday morning.

For the second time this week, the bridge was shut to traffic  due to an “unforeseen mechanical failure.” According to Dartmouth police, the bridge was closed as of around 10:30 a.m.

Dartmouth police announced the bridge re-opened to traffic at 11:18 a.m.
