Pets and stuffed animals to be blessed at church event

All are invited to bless their pets and stuffed animals at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, Oct. 6.
The Blessing of Animals and Pets event will honor the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi and blessing will take place in the context of a prayer service.
All pets are welcomed to attend, including goldfish, snakes and turtles.
Participants should have their pets on a leash, in a pet carrier, cage or aquarium.
Children are also invited to bring their stuffed animals.
Everyone is invited to attend, regardless of their current or former faith.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at 351 Elm Street in Dartmouth.
