The Dartmouth Department of Public Works will be reconstructing many of Dartmouth’s roads thought the fall.

The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The following roads began construction Aug. 27 and will end on Oct. 31:

• Bliss St. from Dartmouth St. to Buttonwood Road.
• Walter St. from Dartmouth to Susan streets.
• Susan St. from Cove Road to Kirby St.
• Kirby St. from Dartmouth to Tripp streets.

Almy St. from Cove Road to Kirby St.

Roads that began construction on Aug. 31 and end Sept. 18 include:

• Tannery Lane from Rock O’Dundee to Horseneck roads.

Rock O’Dundee Road from Slades Corner Road to the dam.

Cove Road from Dartmouth St. to Buttonwood Road also began road work on Aug. 31, but will end on Oct. 31. 

Starting Sept. 8, the following streets will be worked until Oct. 16:

• Smith Neck Road from Little River Road to Mishaum Point.

Rock O’Dundee Road from Bakerville to Smith Neck roads.

DPW advises that no parking will be allowed in these areas. Local detours will be posted as necessary.
