A Dartmouth woman sustained minor injuries after her SUV crashed into the front of Town Hall just before 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, damaging a bush and a window, according to Dartmouth Police.

Emergency responders were called to Dartmouth Town Hall at around 10:48 a.m., where police officers found a 2020 Subaru Forester against the front of the building.

Police stated in a press release that the driver, a 77-year-old Dartmouth woman, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was subsequently taken to St. Luke’s Hospital.

Town employees outside the building said under condition of anonymity that the window overlooks a Board of Health office where two staff members were working. Neither of the staffers was injured in the crash, they said.

According to the police statement, the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and though the building did not appear to incur any major damage, its structural integrity will be evaluated.
