Dartmouth Fire District No. 3 has announced the addition of three new probationary firefighters to the station.

Michael Noonan, Michael Rebello, and Tucker Rose will be joining the district after graduating on Nov. 4 at a ceremony in Fall River.

Trainees had to complete a 240-hour Call/Volunteer Recruit training program on nights and weekends in order to qualify.

During the program they demonstrated proficiency in firefighter safety, search and rescue, ladders, water supply, fire attack, and hazardous material mitigation.

The program uses a blended online and web conferencing format that has students doing more work outside of class and taking quizzes online, allowing them to practice skills with instructors with limited classroom exposure.
