Two rescued at Lloyd State Park by Fire District 2 personnel
On Thursday August 3, just after 10 p.m. Fire District 2 firefighters were sent by boat to rescue two people stranded at the beach, according to the district.
Officials say, two people walking at Demarest Lloyd State Park got stuck on a sandbar once the tide came in. The police allerted Fire District 2 personnel of the situation.
Police and firefighters arrived at the park, where District 2 crews used their airboat to rescue the two people, according to District 2 Chief, Erick Turcotte.
Both people were there after hours but it is unknown if there will be other repercussions. They were both safely transported out of the water and back to the parking lot.
