Two vehicles involved in car crash on Dartmouth Street
Fire District 1 responded to an apparent head-on collision that occurred near 612 Dartmouth Street at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, with minimal to no injuries sustained by the two drivers, according to District 1 Fire Chief Peter Andrade.
The accident involved a jeep and a black car, with one vehicle facing significant front end damage while the other had some fluids on the ground, Andrade said.
Andrade said that it is currently unclear to him what caused the accident.
The drivers of both vehicles were the only individuals involved in the crash.
When the District 1 crew arrived on scene, the operator of the black car was “initially incoherent,” Andrade said, but he later “came around.”
Andrade added that he thought the driver may have hit his head and got “knocked out.”
The crew was able to force the car’s door open and EMS was able to assist the operator, who was then taken to a hospital.
Andrade said that he believes the other driver didn’t sustain any injuries.
