Two ways to volunteer with town land trust
The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust is always accepting weekend volunteers. Check out the upcoming opportunities, or visit dnrt.org/volunteer for more information.
Daffodil docents at Parsons Reserve
Once the daffodils bloom, DNRT will need a crew of volunteers to help manage the crowds at the Parsons Reserve daffodil field alongside its paid rangers. DNRT will host a daffodil docent "training" session or two in mid-March. Daffodil season itself can begin as early as the last week of March and can go through mid-May. Docents can sign up for two-hour time slots (late afternoon during weekdays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays) throughout the season.
Earth Day volunteering at Ridge Hill Reserve
In coordination with the Town of Dartmouth, DNRT will have a public volunteer event at its Ridge Hill Reserve on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 9-11 a.m. Volunteers will do roadside clean up on Collins Corner Road, and, if there are enough people, trash clean up on the gas easement and invasive species removal.
Families and persons of all ages are encouraged to come to this event. All equipment and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a pair of gardening or work gloves.
