Veterans and family members no longer have to travel to Town Hall to have their issues addressed.

Veterans Service Officer Matthew Brouillette announced at a Nov. 1 Select Board meeting that his office has officially moved to the Council on Aging’s center at 628 Dartmouth St.

“[This] will make it a lot easier to work with the Friends of the Elderly and other representatives down there,” Brouillette said.

Select Board Chair Shawn McDonald praised the move, saying that “Town Hall can be intimidating especially to some of the veterans' widows.”

“The Council on Aging is a good place,” he said.

Business hours will remain from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the office can still be reached at (508) 910-1818.
