VFW announces themes for this year’s essay competition

Dartmouth’s Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter has announced the theme for this year’s annual essay contests for scholarships of up to $30,000.
 
The high school essay contest is called “Voice of Democracy” and the theme this year is “Is this the Country the Founders Envisioned?”
 
Meanwhile the essay contest theme for 6th, 7th and 8th grade is "What is Patriotism to Me?"
 
The deadline for both contests is October 31, 2020.
 
National awards range from $5,000 to $30,000 dollars. 
 
Entry forms can be obtained at the Dartmouth VFW, 144 Cross Road, North Dartmouth.
