Weather does not scare away trick-or-treaters

Despite the threat of rain in the forecast, the parade still went on in Padanaram, as costume-clad kids and families took to Elm Street for the annual Halloween tradition.
The annual parade brought hundreds of kids and families to Padanaram Village to march up Elm Street, with a fire truck escort. After the parade, business owners handed out candy to passing kids.
The weather was not enough to put a damper on the event. Although heavy rain and strong winds had been predicted, both held off long enough for the parade — and nighttime trick-or-treating across Dartmouth — to go on unimpeded.
