Summer concert series kicks off at Apponagansett Park
The first concert of the summer season attracted quite an audience to Apponagansett Park on June 15.
Ageless—the first of 13 bands picked last January by the Board of Parks and Recreation for the Summer Concert Series—played for two hours on Wednesday night.
The concert series will continue every Wednesday through September 7, and all the performing bands this year have a Dartmouth connection.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the shows start at 6:30 p.m. Rain dates are Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 per person; $4 per person in advance. Tickets for children under 12 are free. Season passes per person are $30. All advance ticket sales and season passes are payable by check at the Parks & Recreation Office at Town Hall, 400 Slocum Road, room 108.
Alcoholic beverages and pets are banned at events. Adjacent to the venue is the cash-only Gulf Hill Dairy Ice Cream Bucket, serving concession items.
