Police fill two buses with donated toys

Volunteers at the Dartmouth Police toy drive loaded two buses with donations on December 17.

Holiday shoppers, local businesses, and fellow police stopped by the six-hour toy drive in front of Target to give away new dolls, action figures, and a total of six bikes.

"We lost two family members this year, so this is our gift to them," said one woman stopping to donate a few toys.

It's a really nice thing, said Costa. He explained that by working with the town's youth advocate, Jen Cabral, the volunteers were able to identify Dartmouth families that would benefit from the drive.
