Three officers were sworn into service at the January 23 Select Board Meeting.

Board members welcomed officers Colby Cusson, Alec Grant, and Matthew Correia after the men finished 26 weeks of training at the police academy in Randolph. They will start a nine-week field training program with the Dartmouth Police, which is designed to acclimate them to both department policies and patrol procedures, said officials.

"You can see the pride and pleasure in [your family members'] eyes," said board member Shawn McDonald, before other members chimed in with "Be safe," and "congratulations."

Additionally, Lieutenant Mark Zielinski was promoted to the rank of captain.
