On Sunday, May 7, George H. Potter Elementary will hold its fourth annual Potter PTO 5K run/walk fundraiser. All proceeds will be used by the PTO to subsidize enrichment programs conducted in cooperation with teaching staff.

The race will start at the District No. 3 fire station on Cross Road in Dartmouth, and finish at Potter Elementary. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the race will begin at 10 a.m., rain or shine.

The tax-deductive registration fee is $25 for all participants on race day. Registration is $20 until May 7.

There will be awards and raffles, as well as refreshments at the conclusion of the race. First place overall male and female runners will each receive a $100 gift card. Second place overall male and female runners will each receive a $50 gift card. Third place overall male and female runners will each receive a $25 gift card. Medals will be awarded to for top male and female runners for their applicable age groups. The first 150 people to register will receive an exclusive race t-shirt and one free raffle ticket.

Potter PTO has asked that motorists avoid the section of Cross Road, which begins at Faunce Corner Road and ends at Route 6. Seek an alternate route, 10-11 a.m.
