The Lloyd Center will host a whale tour of the outer Cape on April 1.

The walk will run from Hatches Harbor to Race Point on outer Cape Cod. Led by Jamie Bogart, it will feature observations of whale behavior at close range, as whales congregate close to shore during the spring.

Those attending are asked to bring lunch, water, extra layers of clothing, footwear for hiking, binoculars and/or spotting scope and camera. The outing is done on foot and includes extensive walking, so participants should be capable of covering five miles.

A bus departs at 7 a.m. and returns at 5 p.m. An inclement weather date is April 2. Meeting place to be determined.

The program is $30 for Lloyd Center members, $35 for non-members. Space limited to 12. Appropriate for ages 15 and up.
