Meet and greet.

Dartmouth author Holly FitzGerald will host a book signing and meet-and-greet at the Southworth Library at 5 p.m. Copies of her book, "Ruthless River: Love and Survival by Raft on the Amazon’s Relentless Madre de Dios,” will be available for purchase for a $15 donation. Free book bags will be provided. She'll also appear at the Dartmouth Barnes and Noble on July 1, 2-4 p.m.

Friday, June 30

Donate blood.

The Dartmouth Grange is partnering with the family of Lois Schmidt and CVS Pharmacy to hold a blood drive at Patrons Hall, 1-6 p.m. Appointments can be made in advance online at redcrossblood.org. Find the Dartmouth Grange blood drive by searching for a drive by zip code and entering 02747. Walk-ins are also welcome. Patrons Hall is located at 1133 Fisher Road.

Saturday, July 1

Shop history.

The Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society will host a yard sale fundraiser, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at its 1205 Russells Mills Road headquarters. Visitors can expect books and other such items for sale. For more information, call Kathy at (508) 993-7736.

Celebrate the fourth.

Additionally, the Dartmouth Community Band will perform at 1205 Russells Mills Road at 5 p.m. Enjoy patriotic music, led by Conductor John Furtado, for the country's founding. Bring a lawn chair or chaise lounge for maximum comfort.

Sunday, July 2

Cruise.

A bike ride run by the Appalachian Mountain Club will run through Dartmouth and Westport, beginning at Gooseberry Island in Westport at 10 a.m. The ride is about 35 miles long and runs at a 12-15 mile per hour pace.
