Blocked sewer pipe forces cancellation of Town Hall meetings

Jan 8, 2018

Dartmouth Town Hall is back in business after a blocked sewer pipe forced the cancellation of January 8's meetings.

At 4:15 p.m., officials posted to the town website that all scheduled meetings on January 8 were cancelled due to the issue. Cancelled meetings included the Select Board, Planning Board, and Historical Commission meetings.

Town Administrator David Cressman said the issue was a blocked sewer pipe which had leaked into the building. Although the issue was fixed quickly, the affected area needed to be cleaned up and sanitized.

The cleanup was finished in time for Town Hall to reopen on January 9 on time.
