Kenneth J. “Kenny” Monteiro, 75, of North Dartmouth passed away January 4, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the spouse of Wayne Pacheco.

Mr. Monteiro was born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph F. and Agnes (Monte) Monteiro, and resided in Dartmouth most of his life. He was employed as a teacher by the Dartmouth Public School system for 35 years, retiring in 2001.

He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Florida Gamma Chapter; Moose Lodge No. 914; and the Washington Club. He enjoyed traveling, antiques, sunbathing and his dogs.

In addition to his spouse, he is survived by a brother, Gordon F. Travers and his wife, Gayla; his stepson Wayne Pacheco, Jr. and his wife, Jessica; two step grandchildren, Makayla Silva and Bryan Folger; one niece, Heidi Travers; two nephews, Wayne and Scott Travers; and one great nephew, Addison Kaeterle. He was stepfather of the late Dawn Pacheco.

A memorial service was held on January 19.
