Nor'easter in full swing

Dartmouth is in the midst of a Nor'easter. Here's the latest rundown of storm-related events and calls:

Wednesday March 14

8:18 a.m.

Eversource reports 663 customers still without power.

5:15 p.m.

Dartmouth Week staffers' Internet access and battery backup is getting spotty. Updates may not appear as often, but urgent and breaking information will be posted.

5:15 p.m.

Eversource reports 1,972 customers without power.

5:09 p.m.

Reports of a wire down across Gaffney Road.

5:00 p.m.

Eversource reports 1,964 customers without power in Dartmouth.

4:56 p.m.

Reports of tree branches coming into contact with wires and sparking a small tree fire in the area of 84 Bakerville Road.

3:30 p.m.

A tree is down on Gene Street. Eversource reported 3,456 customers without power.

3:09 p.m.

On Clarks Cove and Williams Street the DPW is responding to a downed tree in the area.

3:03 p.m.

A Dartmouth resident reported a car stuck on Mason Street via social media.

3:00 p.m.

DPW continues plowing streets while light snow continues to fall in the area.  Eversource reported 3,271 people without power.

2:30 p.m.

Eversource reported 3,992 without power.

2:05 p.m.

Eversource reported 3,990 customers without power.

2:00 p.m.

A DPW worker was driving plowing on Hawthorn and Oliver Street when his plow disconnected from his vehicle and he drove over it. The plow was in the middle of the street.

1:35 p.m.

Eversource reported 3,976 people without power.

1:18 p.m.

A tree and wires are reported to be down on Highland Ave.

1:03 p.m.

A downed tree on Crescent Road and Country Club Boulevard has been cleared.

1:00 p.m.

Eversource reported 3,875 residents are without power.

12:52 p.m.

Dartmouth Public Schools announced there will be no school March 14 due to snow and clean up efforts.

12:30 p.m.

Eversource reported 3,823 people are without power.

12:15 p.m.

A tree is partially down in Rockadundee Road. There are also cable wires down.

12:08 p.m.

The DPW reported a tree down on Bakerville Road.

12:00 p.m.

Eversource reported 3,255 residents are without power.

11:58 a.m.

On East Wood Lane off of Tucker Road a tree is blocking the road.

11:42 a.m.

On White Oak Run a tree was removed from a house.

11:31 a.m.

Eversource reported 1,640 people are without power in the area.

11:25 a.m.

Dartmouth Police reported visibility is at 100 to 150 yards in some areas.

11:17 a.m.

Both Fire Department District No. 2 and No. 3 have called in all available personel. District No. 3 has also called in permanent personel.

11:10 a.m.

A tree on fire was reported down on a house in district No. 3.

11:03 a.m.

Eversource reported 1,444 customers without power.

10:46 a.m.

Wires are down and reportedly smoking on Horseneck Road.

10:44 a.m.

Big trees reported down on Old Westport Road.

10:36 a.m.

Russells Mills Road was cleared after a tree fell in the road.

10:34 a.m.

On Anne Ave a cable wire was reported down in the road.

10:33 a.m.

Chase Road was cleared.

10:32 a.m.

The University Police Department reported a campus-wide outage which caused the alarms to go off in buildings.

10:31 a.m.

Eversource reports 608 customers without power.

10:26 a.m.

A DPW crew member was reportedly stuck on Hathaway Road where a wire was down in the road.

10:21 a.m.

On Hixville Road a tree is down and blocking the road making it difficult to plow. A pine tree is also hanging on wires.

10:15 a.m.

A downed tree was removed from Sharp Road.

10:00 a.m.

Eversource reports 594 people are without power.

9:58 a.m.

A tree is down and blocking High Hill Road.

9:54 a.m.

A tree was reported to have fallen onto wires on Old Fall River Road causing them to arc. The Department of Public Works said the wires look like they may fall.

9:46 a.m.

Tree was removed from Lane Farm Road.

9:40 a.m.

A tree was reported down and blocking a portion of Tucker Road. Emergency crews have been working to remove it from the road.

Another tree was reported down on Lane Farm Road, which is off of Tucker Road.

9:12 a.m.

A tree was reported down on primary wires on Nonquitt Avenue. The tree was reported to be on fire, according to scanner traffic.

Eversource reports 110 customers are without power.
