The town is looking for candidates for two seats on the finance committee.

One seat needs to be filled immediately and the other will be filled in June. The finance committee advises town meeting, making recommendations on budget articles. It also administers the town’s reserve fund.

The desired candidate will have a basic understanding of financial statements, be forward-thinking and want to be involved in town government. Applicants will also be expected to meet with various constituent groups.

People interested in applying must send a letter of interest and resume to town moderator Melissa Haskell by May 18 to be considered. They can be mailed to Town Hall at 400 Slocum Rd. or by email mhaskell@town.dartmouth.ma.us.
