National Night Out 2018

Join the Dartmouth Police Department and other departments from the region for National Night Out 2018! This free event on Tuesday, August 7, will happen at the Riverside Park in New Bedford, at the intersection of Belleville Ave and Deane St from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

The event will celebrate the memories of Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon and Weymouth Police Sgt. Michael Chesna.

This event is also hosted by Neighborhoods United, the City of New Bedford Police, Massachusetts State Police, New Bedford Fire, and EMS, who will all also be present at the event.

There will be lots of free activities, including music, sports, face painting, arts and crafts, and more. A light dinner of one hot dog, one bag of chips, and once soda per person will be served. The guest speaker for the event will be Yarmouth Police Chief Frederickson.

National Night out is a community building campaign to connect public safety officers and the community to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
