With wind howling and off-and-on rain on October 15, a tree was toppled on Tucker Road near one of the street's infamous curves.

The tree fell near the intersection with Whiteweed Drive. The fallen tree was then struck by a car traveling on Tucker Road.

No one was injured, according to Dartmouth Police Det. Kyle Costa.

“DPW responded really quickly and within an hour, hour and a half the tree was removed,” said Detective Kyle Costa.

Costa advises calling the Department of Public Works at (508) 999-0740 with any reports of dead trees that look in danger of falling.
