Pedal for a Purpose: Two Weeks Left to Join the 18th Annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride!

Fall is the perfect time to pedal through the fresh air and stunning landscapes of southeastern Massachusetts. With only two weeks left, now is the time to sign up for the 18th Annual Buzzards Bay Coalition Watershed Ride on Sunday, October 6th. Registration is still open—so if you love to ride and want to make a difference for clean water, join us by signing up at www.savebuzzardsbay.org/ride and save $15 off registration with the code LASTCALL.

If you want a doable challenge, there is a 35-mile route that starts in Rochester and winds through Wareham, Bourne, and Falmouth, before ending in Woods Hole. Additionally, the 100-mile and 75-mile overlapping routes take you past coastal farmlands, windswept beaches, cranberry bogs, and scenic harbors between Rhode Island and Cape Cod. All routes finish with a festive celebration in Woods Hole, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Buzzards Bay.

This fully supported ride offers a safe and enjoyable experience for all. SAG wagons provide on-the-road assistance, while riders can refuel at four water stops, enjoy snacks, and look forward to a vibrant post-ride party. Shuttles are also available for convenient pre- and post-ride transportation.

The Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride is not just a fun community event—it’s a critical fundraiser for the protection and restoration of Buzzards Bay. Each rider is asked to raise a minimum of $300, with the funds raised going toward the Coalition’s efforts to safeguard the Bay’s ecosystem through scientific research, land protection, advocacy, and outdoor exploration programs

Don’t miss your chance to ride for clean water. Sign up today and make a difference in your local environment! Secure your spot today at www.savebuzzardsbay.org/ride and save $15 off registration with the code LASTCALL now through October 3rd.

For a $65 registration fee, participants will enjoy a hearty lunch, live music, food trucks, and beer at the post-ride celebration. Riders will also receive a commemorative event tee and a signature 2024 finisher’s pint glass—with special prizes awarded to top fundraisers and teams.
